Here is the first press text for the new Miniartextil exhibition, one of the most consistent open textile art competition there currently is in Europe. Newcomers do have a chance here as the jury is open-minded and international in scope. But competition is hard as there are many applications, so send your very best works! This year there is a small fee for taking part, it has always been a miracle to me how they could have worked without entry fees in the past as this event is organized by a small private association.
Arte&Arte associaiton is launching the new contest for the 26th edition of MINIARTEXTIL, having for theme TO WEAVE DREAMS.
Aplications must be submitted within Saturday April 16 2016.
We would like to drive artists’ attention to the manual skills of creating fiber artworks. Everybody is invited to realise a dream, to make a wish, to weave hopes. A way to look backward, beyond the looms in order to get fascinated by the contemporary.
The 54 selected works will be exhibited in Como in the ex Church of san Francesco from October 1 to November 20 2016, than the show will be displayed in Montrouge, Paris and Venice.

Hier folgt der Pressetext für die neue Miniartextil Ausstellung, einem der bekantesten offenen Textilkunst-Wettbewerben die es zur Zeit in Europa gibt. Auch Anfänger erhalten hier eine faire Möglichkeit weil die international besetzte Jury sich als offen erwiesen hat. Der Wettbewerb ist jedoch hart und lohnt nur wenn man seine besten Arbeiten einschickt! In diesem Jahr wird eine kleine Teilnahmegebühr erhoben. Ich habe mich immer gewundert wie die kleine private Vereinigung bislang ohne Gebühren auskommen konnte.
Der Verein Arte & Arte hat den neuen Wettbebewerb ausgeschrieben, die 26. Auflage von MINIARTEXTI, mit dem Thema: TO WEAVE DREAMS (Träume weben).
Anmeldungen sollten spätestens bis Samstag den 16. April, 2016, erfolgen.
Wir möchten die Aufmerksamkeit der Künstler auf die manuelle Kunstfertigkeit bei der Gestaltung von textilen Kunstwerken lenken. Alle sind eigeladen, einen Traum zu realisieren, sich einen Wunsch zu erfüllen oder Hoffnungen einzuweben. Auf diese Weise soll ein Blick zurück geworfen werden, über den Webstuhl hinaus um sich vom Hier und Jetzt faszinieren zu lassen
Die 54 jurierten Arbeiten werden vom 1. Oktober bis 20 November, 2016 in Como in der ehemaligen Kirche San Francesco ausgestellt werden. Danach wandert die Austelung nach Montrouge, Paris und Venedig.
