5th European Tapestry Triennial

Lise Frølund/DK: "The Impossible Puzzle" from 2012 consists of five oblong tapestries. Each oblong shows parts of grown ups and children in relaxed play. On the one side of each part of the tapestry the motifs are clearly recognizable, on the reverse side the colours are complementary. Apparently, the five oblongs hung in a sequence make up an integral whole, but whichever way you turn them, show them, front or back, fractured surfaces will appear when they are put together. Materials:Flax, polyester, paper.Measures: 6.4 by 1.4 metres
