M\u00e4rz 2026<\/h3>\n<p>Die Ausstellung &#8220;Soft Power \u2013 Die Warschauer Wurzeln der Polnischen Textilkunstschule &#8221; zeichnet die Entwicklung der polnischen Textilkunst von ihren radikalen Anf\u00e4ngen in den 1960er- und 1970er-Jahren bis hin zu zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Positionen nach. Sie versteht Textil nicht nur als k\u00fcnstlerisches Medium, sondern als Tr\u00e4ger von Identit\u00e4t, Bedeutung und kulturellem Einfluss \u2013 das, was die Kuratorinnen und Kuratoren als \u201eSoft Power\u201c bezeichnen.Im Zentrum der Ausstellung steht die R\u00fcckbesinnung auf einen Moment tiefgreifender Transformation. Als polnische K\u00fcnstlerinnen und K\u00fcnstler 1962 ihre Arbeiten auf der Biennale in Lausanne pr\u00e4sentierten, erkl\u00e4rten internationale Kritiker, \u201edie Textilkunst der Zukunft wurde in Polen geboren\u201c. Das war keine \u00dcbertreibung. K\u00fcnstlerinnen und K\u00fcnstler wie Magdalena Abakanowicz und ihre Zeitgenossen definierten das Medium grundlegend neu, befreiten es von dekorativen und utilit\u00e4ren Funktionen und erhoben es in den Bereich der freie Kunst. Sie stellten jahrhundertealte Hierarchien infrage, erkundeten die Materialit\u00e4t und entwickelten eine v\u00f6llig neue Bildsprache \u2013 eine, die haptisch, r\u00e4umlich und eng mit dem K\u00f6rper sowie organischen Prozessen verbunden ist.<\/p>\n<p>Die Ausstellung zeigt \u00fcberzeugend, wie Textil zu einem kraftvollen Medium des Erz\u00e4hlens wurde, das Themen wie Identit\u00e4t, K\u00f6rperlichkeit, Transformation und sogar politischen Widerstand verhandeln kann. Seine inh\u00e4renten Eigenschaften \u2013 Weichheit, Fragilit\u00e4t und Verg\u00e4nglichkeit erscheinen dabei nicht als Einschr\u00e4nkungen, sondern als St\u00e4rken, die vielschichtige und emotional aufgeladene Narrationen erm\u00f6glichen. Besonders auff\u00e4llig ist jedoch der Kontrast zwischen den historischen Arbeiten und den zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Positionen. Meiner Ansicht nach liegt die eigentliche revolution\u00e4re Kraft eindeutig bei der \u00e4lteren Generation. K\u00fcnstlerinnen und K\u00fcnstler der 1960er- und 1970er-Jahre \u2013 darunter Abakanowicz, Emilia Bohdziewicz, Wojciech Sadley, Jolanta Owidzka,Eleonora Pluty\u0144ska, Barbara Levittoux-\u015awiderska, Barbara Falkowska und Krystyna Wojtyna-Drouet \u2013 arbeiteten mit Textil auf eine Weise, die tats\u00e4chlich bahnbrechend war. Ihre Arbeiten waren mutig, experimentell und konzeptuell radikal, getragen von der Notwendigkeit, sowohl das Medium als auch seine Bedeutung neu zu definieren.<\/p>\n<p>Im Vergleich dazu wirken viele der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Arbeiten, trotz konzeptueller Reflexion, weniger dringlich. Sie scheinen sich h\u00e4ufig innerhalb einer bereits etablierten Sprache zu bewegen anstatt deren Grenzen weiter zu verschieben. Die Ausstellung stellt die Frage nach Kontinuit\u00e4t, offenbart jedoch zugleich eine gewisse L\u00fccke: Was einst eine revolution\u00e4re Geste war, ist heute teilweise zur \u00e4sthetischen Konvention geworden. Dies schm\u00e4lert jedoch nicht die Relevanz der Textilkunst in der Gegenwart \u2013 im Gegenteil: Ihr Wiederaufleben in der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Kunst und ihre Pr\u00e4senz auf gro\u00dfen Kunstmessen unterstreichen ihre anhaltende Bedeutung. Dennoch erinnern die historischen Werke daran, dass diese Relevanz hart erk\u00e4mpft wurde. Die Pionierinnen und Pioniere der Polnischen Textilkunstschule haben das Medium nicht nur erweitert, sondern grundlegend ver\u00e4ndert. Letztlich bekr\u00e4ftigt die Ausstellung Warschau als einen zentralen Ort der Textilkunst und zeigt zugleich, dass ihre gr\u00f6\u00dfte St\u00e4rke weiterhin in ihren Urspr\u00fcngen liegt.
