Juli 2025 im Mus\u00e9e du Quai Branly, Paris<\/h2>\n<p><em>Weber und Goldschmiede im Nahen und Fernen Osten nutzten ihr K\u00f6nnen und Talent, um Techniken zu entwickeln, mit denen sich Gold durch Weben, Sticken und Bedrucken mit Textilfasern verbinden lie\u00df. So wurden aus einfachen Stoffen au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Materialien.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Aufgrund ihrer organischen Beschaffenheit und extremen Zerbrechlichkeit wurden bisher nur wenige antike Textilien mit Gold gefunden. Derartige Artefakte wurden in gro\u00dfer Zahl in den Gr\u00e4bern von K\u00f6nigen, F\u00fcrsten und Adligen entdeckt. Andere luxuri\u00f6se, mit Gold verzierte Stoffe aus dem Byzantinischen Reich, der islamischen Welt und China erreichten Europa bereits im Hochmittelalter in Form von Handelswaren oder diplomatischen Geschenken. Einige dieser Stoffe, die f\u00fcr die Elite und kirchliche W\u00fcrdentr\u00e4ger bestimmt waren, sind in den Schatzkammern westlicher Kirchen erhalten geblieben.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Gold war zun\u00e4chst den Reichen und M\u00e4chtigen vorbehalten, erfreute sich aber im Laufe der Jahrhunderte zunehmender Beliebtheit. Seine Verwendung verbreitete sich allm\u00e4hlich in der Textilkunst auf dem gesamten asiatischen Kontinent und dann in den Maghreb-L\u00e4ndern.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Diese Ausstellung entstand in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem chinesischen Modedesigner Guo Pei, dessen erhabene, leuchtende Kleidungsst\u00fccke in der ganze Ausstellung zu sehen sind. Sie zeigt die Vielfalt und den Reichtum der mit Gold bestickten oder gewebten Damenkleider aus einer riesigen Region, die sich vom Maghreb \u00fcber die L\u00e4nder des Nahen Ostens, Indien und China bis nach Japan erstrecktt<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Soweit der Einf\u00fchrungstext zu dieser \u00fcberraschenden Ausstellung im Pariser Ethnografischen Museum \u201eMus\u00e9e du Quai Branly \u2013 Jacques Chirac\u201c. Die \u00dcberraschung f\u00fcr mich war die chinesische Modedesignerin Guo Pei, von der ich noch nie zuvor geh\u00f6rt hatte. Eine ihrer Kreationen, ein Brautkleid aus dem Jahr 2024, erforderte f\u00fcnf Jahre Arbeit, an dem acht Personen und 30 Techniken beteiligt waren; f\u00fcnf mit Goldf\u00e4den bestickte Kleider (ebenfalls aus dem Jahr 2024) erforderten 15 Personen und f\u00fcnf Jahre Arbeit; eine weitere Kreation (Herbst\/Winter 2016) erforderte 20.000 Arbeitsstunden und acht Personen, um dieses Kleid zu weben und zu besticken!<\/p>\n<p>Die 1967 in China geborene Guo Pei lernte N\u00e4hen und Handarbeiten von ihrer Mutter. In den 1980er Jahren er\u00f6ffnete sie \u201eRose Studio\u201c, eine der ersten Modewerkst\u00e4tten in China. Sp\u00e4ter wechselte sie zur Haute Couture, inspiriert von der Geschichte ihres Landes und den Kulturen Ost und West, und kreierte Designs, die Seide, Edelsteine, Federn, Perlen und vor allem Gold miteinander verschmelzen! Ich konnte nicht glauben, was ich sah \u2013 warum kannte ich sie nicht?<\/p>\n<p>Lustigerweise schickte mir ein Schweizer Freund, der Hongkong besuchte, ein paar Tage sp\u00e4ter Fotos ihrer Arbeit im M+ Museum in Hongkong, einem Museum f\u00fcr visuelle Kultur, genauso \u00fcberraschend wie ihre Arbeit in Paris. Er schrieb auch, dass sie mit dem Stickerei-Designer Martin Leuthold (Jakob Schlaepfer Modestoffe) zusammenarbeitet. Das Ergebnis wurde in der Ausstellung \u201eGolden Thread\u201c ausgestellt, einem weiteren sch\u00f6nen Beispiel f\u00fcr die hohe Kunst, die Martin Leuthold in der Stickereiindustrie erreicht hat, diesmal f\u00fcr diese au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche chinesische Designerin, die mit Handstickerei arbeitet.Ich war hin- und hergerissen zwischen Bewunderung und dem Hauch von Kitsch, den ich in ihren Arbeiten sp\u00fcrte, aber es war trotzdem atemberaubender und fantastischer Kitsch!<\/p>\n<p>Es gab noch einen weiteren \u00fcberraschenden Designer, der sich von Gold inspirieren lie\u00df, nachdem er auf einer Reise nach \u00c4gypten all das Gold in den Gr\u00e4bern der Pharaonen gesehen hatte: John Galliano f\u00fcr Christian Dior, Fr\u00fchjahr\/Sommer 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Mir gefiel die Ausstellung sehr gut, da sie Antworten auf Fragen gab wie: Woher Gold kommt (offenbar von einer Kollision zweier Planeten, lange bevor unser Planet existierte!). Auch Materialien, die wie Gold aussahen, wie Muschelseide (von der Pina Nobilis) und Spinnenseide (von Nephila madagascariensis), aus denen goldfarbene F\u00e4den hergestellt wurden!<br \/>\nDie Ausstellung war sehr gut pr\u00e4sentiert, und obwohl es eine sehr gro\u00dfe Ausstellung war, war es leicht, die Geschichte des Goldes durch die Jahrhunderte und die Kontinente von Asien \u00fcber Nordafrika bis Europa zu verfolgen.<br \/>\nIch habe den Katalog nicht gekauft, da mein Gep\u00e4ck schon zu schwer war, werde ihn aber bestellen. Ich f\u00fcge ein Foto des Buches bei. Es scheint nur auf Franz\u00f6sisch zu sein und wurde vom Mus\u00e9e du Quay Branly zusammen mit dem Skira-Verlag herausgegeben (im Museum f\u00fcr 47 Euro erh\u00e4ltlich).
