Because we were all four from different textile fields, age and nationality, this was really fun to do<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Die 7. Internationale Triennale f\u00fcr Textilkunst in Riga, Teil 2<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Riga im Fr\u00fchsommer ist immer ein Vergn\u00fcgen, aber im Jahr 2023 war es auch ein wichtiger Ort f\u00fcr alle Textilkunstliebhaber; vor allem wegen der Textilkunst Trienniale von Riga, eine der ersten gro\u00dfen Textilkunst-veranstaltungen nach der Pandemie. Der Titel \u201eQuo Vadis\u201c war genau die Frage, die in diesem Jahr allen im Kopf herumschwirrte, weshalb die Antworten bei solchen Veranstaltungen ernster ausfielen als sonst bei solchen Veranstaltungen. Wenn Sie dachten, dass es in der Textilkunst nur um Sch\u00f6nheit und nicht um die gro\u00dfen Themen des Lebens geht, wurde Ihnen bei dieser Triennale ein v\u00f6llig anderes Bild vermittelt, das Themen wie Krieg, Tod und Verletzlichkeit im Allgemeinen (in Bezug auf den Mensch und die Natur) behandelte. Das Hauptziel der Rigaer Triennale besteht jedoch immer noch darin, \u201ezur Entwicklung professioneller Kunst und kreativer k\u00fcnstlerischer Prozesse beizutragen\u201c.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ich werde hier noch einige weitere Fotos von Werken der Triennale zeigen sowie Werke aus einigen der Begleitausstellungen, die ich besucht habe: Zun\u00e4chst \u201eAt Own Pace\u201c, eine Einzelausstellung von Wlodzimierz Cygan im Mentzendorff-Haus in Riga. Diese Ausstellung des bekannten polnischen K\u00fcnstlers und co-Jurymitglieds der Rigaer Triennale, fand auf dem Dachboden von Mentzendorff statt, was sie zwar intimer und geheimnisvoller, aber auch etwas zu be-engt machte. Ich w\u00fcrde seine Arbeiten beim n\u00e4chsten Mal gerne in einem viel gr\u00f6\u00dferen Raum sehen! Dennoch liebe ich seine st\u00e4ndige Weiterentwicklung des Webens, seine Arbeit wird immer spielerischer und das Licht spielt offenbar eine immer wichtigere Rolle in seiner Entwicklung.<\/p>\n<p>Die n\u00e4chste wirklich beeindruckende Ausstellung war \u201eExodus\u201c von Baiba Osite in der Art Station Dubulti in Jurmala, einer K\u00fcnstlerin, deren au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Arbeit ich seit meinem ersten Besuch in Lettland Anfang der 90er Jahre kenne. Ihre Arbeit mit den Holzst\u00e4bchen, die sie am Strand findet, geh\u00f6rt zu ihre bekannteste, aber hier in Jurmala habe ich erfahren, dass sie auch eine gro\u00dfartige Papiermacherin und innovative Textilk\u00fcnstlerin ist! Der Besuch der Galerie, einem ehemaligen Bahnhof an der K\u00fcste des sch\u00f6nen Jurmala, gab uns Besuchern die M\u00f6glichkeit, in der Ostsee zu baden, was mir sehr gut gefallen hat.<\/p>\n<p>Eine weitere Einladung zu einer wichtigen Ausstellung f\u00fcr die Triennale-Teilnehmer war \u201eBl\u00fchende Wandteppiche \u2013 Les gobelins en fleurs\u201c, Wandteppiche aus der Sammlung des Mobilier National (Paris) im prestigetr\u00e4chtigen Rundale-Palast in Pilsrundale, Bezirk Bauska, Lettland. Die franz\u00f6sischen Vertreter waren anwesend und die Er\u00f6ffnung war ein echtes Ereignis mit einem fantastischen Buffet, so sch\u00f6n arrangiert, dass es fast schade war, es zu essen! Sp\u00e4ter erz\u00e4hlte mir eine Kuratorin, dass alle internationalen Veranstaltungen hier stattfinden und sie auf diese Weise zahlreiche interessante internationale Begegnungen mit Kollegen aus dem Ausland hatte. Die Ausstellung gab einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber Pflanzen, die in Wandteppichen dargestellt sind, angefangen nat\u00fcrlich mit den \u201eMille-Fleurs\u201c-Wandteppichen aus dem Mittelalter, sogar einem vom ber\u00fchmten \u201eLa dame \u00e0 la licorne\u201c, der jetzt im Mus\u00e9e Cluny zu sehen ist (ich habe die ganze Serie nur ein paar Wochen sp\u00e4ter zuf\u00e4llig gesehen), bis hin zu Wandteppichen mit Pflanzen aller Art aus dem 20.\u00a0Jahrhundert.<\/p>\n<p>Dann sah ich einige Arbeiten Studentinnen der Textilabteilung der Kunstakademie von Ieva Krumina, einer K\u00fcnstlerin, die ich sehr sch\u00e4tze! Sie arbeitet mit Plastikm\u00fcll und schafft Arbeiten von extremer Sch\u00f6nheit. Sie schmilzt zun\u00e4chst den Kunststoff und formt daraus eine Folie, pr\u00e4gt dieses St\u00fcck Kunststoff, schneidet es aus und bemalt es. Ihre Sch\u00fcler schienen zu wissen, was f\u00fcr einen Schatz sie als Lehrerin haben, und die ausgestellten Arbeiten waren frisch und voller neuer (und alter!)
