Internationale Tapisserie-Triennale, Lodz 2022, Teil 1 <\/b><strong>von 8.10. 22 bis 14.4.2023<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Zur Er\u00f6ffnung der Triennale in Lodz zu sein, war einfach wunderbar, auch wenn es nicht mehr so selbstverst\u00e4ndlich ist, sich wieder ohne allzu viele Corona-Einschr\u00e4nkungen zu bewegen und alte Freunde zu treffen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Am Nachmittag den 8.Oktober, 2022 wurde die Triennale mit Reden er\u00f6ffnet, die das diesj\u00e4hrige Thema \u201eEntangled State&#8221; (Verstrickter Zustand) erl\u00e4uterten \u2013 ein vision\u00e4res Thema, das vor dem Ausbruch der Pandemie und dem Krieg in der Ukraine gew\u00e4hlt wurde. F\u00fcr die Ausstellung wurde dieses Thema in vier Unterthemen unterteilt: Die Zivilisierten (Welche Art von Zivilisation erschaffen wir?), Repr\u00e4sentierte Zust\u00e4nde (z. B. Kindheitserinnerungen), Verwurzelung (z. B. unsere Wurzeln in der nat\u00fcrlichen Welt) und Horizonte der Wirklichkeit (die Grenzen zwischen Realit\u00e4t und virtueller Welt).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Nach den Reden und einer Erkl\u00e4rung der Kuratorin Marta Kovalevska folgte ein Rundgang durch die Ausstellung mit der Jury und den anwesenden K\u00fcnstlern. Sp\u00e4ter am Nachmittag wurden die Preise verliehen und schlie\u00dflich gab es eine Performance \u201eEMerge\u201c der polnischen T\u00e4nzerin\/Choreografin Paulina Wycichowska in einem fantastischen Kost\u00fcm, das von der Textilk\u00fcnstlerin Tina Marais aus Kanada entworfen wurde.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Die Triennale zeigte Arbeiten von 51 K\u00fcnstlern. Die meisten stammten aus Polen (13), dann aus Japan (5), je drei aus den USA, \u00d6sterreich und der Ukraine. Jeweils zwei kamen aus Taiwan, Gro\u00dfbritannien, Indien und Brasilien; und schlie\u00dflich je einer aus Australien, Nigeria, China, Argentinien, Korea, Israel, Norwegen, Slowenien, der Slowakei, Finnland, Ungarn, Rum\u00e4nien, Spanien, Kanada, Frankreich und Litauen. Bei fr\u00fcheren Triennalen war diese Zahl viel gr\u00f6\u00dfer, weil Berater aus jedem Land drei Kandidaten vorschlagen konnten, daher war die Zahl der Teilnehmer zwei- bis dreimal h\u00f6her. Ich habe dieses fr\u00fchere undemokratische Auswahlsystem immer kritisch gesehen, aber ich sehe auch die Probleme mit einer echten offenen Ausschreibung.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Weil es leider stimmt, dass sich namhafte K\u00fcnstler seltener bewerben, wird die Auswahl einen anderen Schwerpunkt bekommen, bestenfalls auf j\u00fcngere K\u00fcnstler und solche aus anderen Kontinenten. Die Jury in Lodz hatte mehrere prominente Mitglieder aus dem Bereich der bildenden Kunst, u.a. Ann Coxon, Kuratorin f\u00fcr internationale Kunst der Tate Modern in London, die auf dem Symposium einen Vortrag hielt. Ihre positive Einstellung zu Textilien hat mich beeindruckt, aber wird sie auch genug \u00fcber Textilkunst wissen? Mizuki Takahashi, Direktor und Kurator des Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile in Hong Kong, hielt ebenfalls einen Vortrag und betonte die Notwendigkeit, Textilk\u00fcnstler aus einem nicht westlichen Bereich einzubeziehen. Ich stimme ihr vollkommen zu, aber werden sich diese nicht westlichen K\u00fcnstler zahlreich bewerben? Soweit ich wei\u00df, sind die Beitr\u00e4ge aus diesen L\u00e4ndern selten bei Veranstaltungen, die von der \u201ewestlichen Welt\u201c organisiert werden, einschlie\u00dflich dieser Triennale.<\/p>\n<p>Bemerkenswert war, dass alle gro\u00dfen Kunstveranstaltungen, die ich dieses Jahr besuchte, diesen Fokus auf nicht westliche Kunst zu haben schienen: auf Outsider-Kunst (Venedig Biennale) oder auf Kunst von anderen Kontinenten (Documenta in Kassel, Deutschland).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Die Preistr\u00e4ger waren: Erster Preis, Moumita Basak aus Indien f\u00fcr eine Arbeit ohne Titel, handgen\u00e4ht und handbemalt auf der Grundlage traditioneller Handwerkskunst und der weiblichen Perspektive \u2013 Zweiter Preis, Zhannah Petrenko aus der Ukraine f\u00fcr \u201eShroud of Insecurity\u201c, ein Wandteppich, der den Wert physischer Dinge in einer digitalen Welt widerspiegelt, und schlie\u00dflich der <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u2013 Dritte Preis, Katja Felle aus Slowenien f\u00fcr \u201eStop \u2013 Sew \u2013 Reset\u201c, eine Stickerei in Gobelinstich, die den Screenshot eines Fehlers darstellt.<\/p>\n<p>Jemand fragte mich auf Facebook, ob die besten Textilarbeiten wieder ausgestellt w\u00fcrden, so wie fr\u00fcher, als drei Berater pro Land f\u00fcr die Auswahl der K\u00fcnstler zust\u00e4ndig waren. Die ausgestellten St\u00fccke waren vielleicht nicht die besten im alten Sinne, aber sehr interessante, die zum Nachdenken anregen. Besonders dankbar war ich daf\u00fcr, dass es sich bei den meisten Arbeiten um echte Textilkunstwerke handelte und nicht nur um Kunst, die zuf\u00e4llig Textilien verwendet. Ich habe mir noch keine vollst\u00e4ndige Meinung zu den Arbeiten gebildet, aber einige haben mir sehr gut gefallen, wie zum Beispiel die gestickten Gesichter auf Handt\u00fcchern von Leena Illukka aus Finnland, das jacquardgewebte \u201eNight Tent\u201c von Katarina Weslien aus den USA, die ber\u00fchrende Stickerei der norwegischen K\u00fcnstlerin Eli Eines mit dem Titel \u201eA Hole in the Heart\u201c \u2013 die sich mit ihrem Vater befasst, der an einem Loch in seinem Herzen starb \u2013, die poetische Arbeit in Naturfasern von Tanyu Lu aus Taiwan mit dem Titel \u201e30 x 30 Initiative\u201c, die Stickerei ohne Titel der polnischen K\u00fcnstlerin Silwia Aniszewska \u2013 ein abstraktes Kreuzstichgem\u00e4lde \u2013 und das transparente Gewebe mit bedrucktem Text von Kate Christ\/USA mit dem Titel \u201eIn Dialogue\u201c. Dies ist nur eine Auswahl dessen, was mir nach meinem ersten Besuch in den Sinn kommt. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>R\u00fcckblickend glaube ich, dass es den Organisatoren der Triennale gelungen ist, dieses gro\u00dfe Traditionsereignis in einer Weise fortzuf\u00fchren, die es nicht nur f\u00fcr europ\u00e4ische K\u00fcnstler wichtig macht.
